How it works
What happens after you contact us
Wisconsin has both real projects and a real memory of one that went differently to the announcement. Both are worth holding at once. Here is how we actually go about deciding whether a specific place is of interest.
You tell us about the land
Tell us the county and roughly the acreage, and tell us what you have already been asked. A fair number of Wisconsin landowners have fielded an approach before, and knowing what was said to you shapes what is worth checking first.
We check it against public records
We look up who serves your power, what transmission is near, and what your county has already done with projects of this kind. It is nearly all public record and none of it costs you a thing.
We call you if it looks workable
You get the reasoning, not a verdict. If the answer is no we tell you which specific thing rules it out, because that is information you can use with the next party who writes to you.
We make an offer, or we tell you why not
Paperwork comes last and your attorney reads it before you do anything. Up to that point the only thing we have asked you for is a description of your place.
Nothing in that sequence involves money from you or a promise to stop talking to anybody else. In this state in particular, a party wanting either before they have shown their own work deserves a very slow reply.
Ready to find out?
Tell us about your property. There is no cost and no obligation. If it does not fit, we will tell you plainly.
Thank you. We have enough to log it. One more page and we can actually evaluate it.
These take about two minutes. Skip anything you do not know. Guessing is fine.
Thank you. We will review the property and come back to you with a plain answer either way, including if it does not fit.
